Warranty

While we don't like to think that things get damaged, it is a fact that we must accept. One of the advantages of using Sierra Stone is that it can be easily and successfully repaired.

When there is movement in the substrate, even the concrete will occasionally shift and crack. When this happens, it is only natural to expect the stone work to crack as well. Fortunately, the stone can be repaired by simply filling the crack with more of the original stone. Since the stone is very small and multi-colored it is possible to make these repairs and virtually eliminate any sign of the original crack.

We warranty our workmanship and materials for 3 years.

Disclosure

Sierra Stone is a blend of natural stone or washed aggregate and a specially formulated two part epoxy designed to be applied as a resurfacing/flooring material over an existing, structurally sound, concrete or other substrate.

The substrate condition is critical to a successful Sierra Stone application, as any shifting, heaving, settling, cracking or deterioration of the substrate can result in damage to your Sierra Stone. Sierra Stone is a porous product allowing moisture to breathe through and is not intended as a waterproofing product. Sierra Stone will not redirect water to run off.

The thickness of Sierra Stone can be adjusted up or down and can be useful in correcting uneven substrate surfaces. However, Sierra Stone is not intended as a leveling product and unless specifically noted Sierra Stone is an average of 3/8" to 1/2" in thickness, following the contour of the existing substrate.

After application, some shedding of loose stone is normal and should be expected. If you experience excessive or continuous shedding, please contact Sierra Stone Oregon at (503) 830-0207.

As with any natural product, Sierra Stone can be affected by exposure to ultra violet light and wearing patterns. Discoloration from UV light will vary depending upon the original Sierra Stone color chosen and the amount of UV exposure. All stones are natural in color and we cannot be responsible for color variations.

Sierra Stone is applied by hand trowel, and although every effort is made to ensure a perfect surface, some imperfections such as an occasional upturned pebble or slight trowel mark may occur and should be expected.

In certain conditions white deposits can sometimes appear on your Sierra Stone finish. These deposits can be caused by efflorescence salts present in your substrate or moisture in your substrate with enough pressure to move salts to the surface. We occasionally see this condition on ugly concrete without much thought, but it is much more noticeable on a beautiful Sierra Stone surface, even though the Sierra Stone has nothing to do with the phenomenon. This deposit will commonly disappear with normal weathering.

Care and maintenance guidelines are provided. Following these guidelines should provide you long-lasting durability and beauty for your Sierra Stone. The care and maintenance annual inspections are offered at no charge and are strongly recommended. Periodic cleaning and re-glazing are recommended to maintain the beauty and integrity of Sierra Stone.
